In Congress, Thompson is the People's Champion

This election, emotions are high and the stakes maybe even higher. Most people are caught up in the presidential election, but other statewide and national elections demand our attention also. One such election is that of the U.S. 5th Congressional District in  Pennsylvania. This position is currently held by Glenn “G.T.” Thompson, who has represented the people of the 5th Congressional District since 2009 and has done so with dignity, integrity, dedication, and passion.

G.T. sets himself apart from others in the modern-day era of politicians by remaining humble, approachable, and attentive to his constituents. G.T., as he prefers to be called, makes it a top priority to recognize those whom he serves, never forgetting that it is those individuals who entrust and employ him to be their voice in Washington, DC. G.T. has canvassed the 5th U.S. Congressional District during his “Listening & Leading” Tour where he heard directly from his constituents on issues they’re most concerned about. He took the time to address their issues and questions, and took away valuable information that will help shape the way he votes and drafts legislation for the betterment of his constituents.

G.T. has also held numerous events promoting the 2nd Amendment and what it means for us as Citizens of the United States to be afforded such protections. Just recently, he held a ladies-only firearms safety instruction, his fifth annual G.T. Topshot Competition, followed by a 2nd Amendment Rally.

Thompson sets himself apart from the typical political figure by spending as much time within the 5th U.S. Congressional District as he possibly can among his constituents. Thompson has toured numerous factories, as well as small businesses and farming operations across Pennsylvania, listening and learning as he has gone along. G.T. has met with community business leaders, educators, students, and healthcare professionals, and near and dear to his heart, veterans and soldiers. With each encounter, he has taken valuable comments and concerns from each back to Washinng on that has helped shape his voting record, and be the catalyst for his drafting of legislation.

G.T. also makes himself available to those who cannot travel and/or attend his rallies and functions by conducting Tele-Town Hall Call-ins.  You can find information on these and other events at

In addition, G.T. serves on multiple, important Congressional committees and subcommittees that address issues such as agriculture, conservation and forestry, nutrition, biotechnology, natural resources, energy and mineral resources, education and workforce, early childhood and secondary education.

He has authored and co-authored numerous pieces of legislation to promote prosperity, growth, and efficacy of Pennsylvania’s resources, manufacturers, educators, researchers, and innovators while maintaining integrity and keeping the best interest of Pennsylvania and America at the heart of each vote cast and legislation sponsored.

G.T.’s Democrat opponent in November has consistently distorted and misrepresented the facts of his voting record. For anyone with questions about G.T.’s record and positions on individual pieces of legislation, you can access it at:

To ensure that you, the people of the 5th U.S. Congressional District of Pennsylvania continue to have a voice in Washington, D.C. and an advocate that will champion your ideas, concerns, dreams, and future prosperity for generations to come, I encourage you to cast your vote on November 8th, 2016 for Congressman Glenn "G.T." Thompson.
